/10: Stayed on St Marys - year-ticked Blue Rock Thrush on the Garrison. Visited the Scotts - Mick gave me two specimens of 15.0201 Dialectica scalariella - the second and third for Britain - for processing; and Will showed me his first attempt at pinning a moth - the result was impressive.
/10: Ben arrived following a rough crossing on the Scillonian. After lunch we visited the Old Town where a Red-eyed Vireo was showing fairly well.
/10: Unbelievably the Yellow-billed Cuckoo was still alive and relocated in the dump clump. Ben and Alison with saw it and I got much a much better look at it even though viewing condition were very difficult - I was on my knees in mud in dense scrub to obtain the image below. We also had incredibly close views of the Spotted Crake which was still showing well in the lower moors. Late in the day we all saw a White-rumped Sandpiper at Tolls Porth.

/10: Stayed on St Marys despite most other birders leaving to see a Rose-breasted Grosbeak on St Martins. Alison and Ben glimpsed the Blue Rock Thrush which continues to be elusive on the garrison and at the end of the day we all saw a Richards Pipit.
/10: Went to St Martins where we failed to see the Grosbeak, along with ~100 other birders; but we did have a nice walk around St Martins and we did see a Little Bunting.
