Loch of Kinnordy RSPB - 04/05/2018
This was a quiet day. I spent 3 hours or so on moth-related activities, a little over 200 moths of 30 species trapped, including one more Kentish Glory. Then we packed up the car and drove around to the south side of the eastern Cairngorms. We stopped at the Loch of Kinnordy RSPB reserve (near Kirriemuir) and ate lunch in a hide there. We saw some common water birds and a Red Squirrel. Then we drove up Glen Clova to the small hamlet of Clova, where we had a room booked in the Glen Clova Hotel. Alison had a read and I cycled further up to the end of the glen (3 miles), where it becomes Glen Doll - and where our planned walk for tomorrow starts from.
