Tresco - 21/10/2021
Thursday 21st the weather turned dry and sunny but much colder. We visited Tresco. We spent a pleasant few hours walking and finally made 100 species of bird on Scilly for this trip, by adding a few very common ducks to the list. We shared a fish platter at the Ruin Beach Cafe and then walked slowly around Castle Down enjoying the wild rocky seascapes.
Friday 22nd: our last day on Scilly for this year. We had a wander around the north of St Marys and managed to add Great Northern Diver, Whimbrel and Brambling to our species list.
The Scillonian crossing was about as calm as can be. We saw numerous Common Dolphin, more than we've seen on any previous crossing with many of them leaping out of the water quite close in to the boat. Eventually arrived home ar 01:30am on 23rd.
