22-25/09/2020 Lizard (Housel Bay)
We took a 3-night autumn break deal at the Housel Bay Hotel and then extended it by a day. The intention was to walk some sections of the SW coastal path and to do some moth-trapping for migrants. The timing and direction of the wind and rain and the cool temperatures resulted in near complete failure with the second of these objectives (in fact I only trapped the first night and got drenched while gathering in in the morning), but the day time was generally quite sunny and pleasant for walking. We explored some parts of the Lizard coast we had not seen before, away from the tourist mecca around Lizard Point - and it was all very enjoyable.
22/09/2020 - We arrived around midday and walked around Housel Bay and Church cove from the hotel in the afternoon.
