Tuesday 5th July 2016: Stoborough Heath
Two new moths in the trap this morning:
Today Alison and I visited the nearby Stoborough Heath reserve. Here we saw an abundance of Silver-studded Blue butterflies and had a nice walk.
The "silver studs" are in the subterminal black spots on the hindwing underside - they can be difficult to see. The male has a broader black border to the upperside of both wings than is seen in Common Blue
