Cumbria Jan 2024
January 5th-10th: A 5 day visit to take the Christmas decorations down and have a short break. We managed 3 walks - the local riverside and Knipe scar route from Bampton Grange and:
Jan 6th: Kentmere Pike and Harter Fell from Sadgill (Longsleddale) d13km a680m t3h30m
Jan 9th: Whinfell Common from the A6 d14km a720m t3h45m
For Kentmere Pike we delayed our departure as it was foggy in Bampton Grange and remained so all day - bit we had fine winter walking conditions in the hills where we remained above the clouds in the valley all day. For Whinfell Common it was windy and cold but it remained dry.
