Bempton Cliffs RSPB 15&16/06/2022
We booked 2 nights in the Lobster Pot Hotel in Bridlington in the expectation of seeing the returning Black-browed Albatross at Bempton. We did the same last year at a different accommodation. Both this year and last year our visit coincided with the albatross going for a wander elsewhere. Last year it disappeared 10 minutes before we arrived; this year it went missing the day after we booked the hotel. Never mind .... we had fabulous sunny weather and some very nice walking along the cliff tops. On 16th we walked the 5km or so from Flamborough North Landing to Bempton and back.
We made a further attempt to see the albatross on our return south, with an overnight stay in Bridlington on 27th June. Again we failed to see the Albatross.
