Monday 4th July 2016: Studland
Today Alison, Ben and I did a walk around Ballards Down, Studland and Godlestone Heath. Though the weather was mostly cloudy with occasional drizzle, it was still a very enjoyable walk. The highlight was netting a Scarlet Tiger at Old Harry, with several spectators applauding my antics as I chased the moth across the headland.
In the late afternoon Ben was scrolling through his Twitter feed and found that people at the Arne visitor centre were watching a roosting Nightjar - about 100m from our residence. We went to see:
