I did this walk with Alan (brother-in-law).
This is a linear walks so we took 2 cars and parked one at the end of the walk by Loch Duich and the other at the start of the walk on the A87 in Glenshiel.
The route starts with a very steep and arduous ascent to the ridge at Bealach an Lapain. Heading NW from here is a dramatic 8km ridge walk involving the ascent of 3 Munros and 2 subsidiary tops; followed by a 5km gradual descent towards Loch Duich - with extensive views of the mountains and lochs all around.

Although the walk is titled the 5 sisters of Kintail, the main path bypasses the scrambly top of the 4th sister and leaves the 5th sister (Sgurr na Moraich, 876m) as an option for purists. The first summit - Sgurr nan Spainteach - means "Peak of the Spaniards" and is so-called after the Spanish assistance to the rebel Scots in the Battle of Glen Sheil. According to Wikipedia, legend has it that "the five sisters are the oldest of seven sisters. The youngest two sisters fell in love with two Irish princes who washed ashore during a storm. Their father would only allow them to marry once the older sisters has also been married, and so the princes agreed to send their other five brothers once they had returned to Ireland with their new wives. Although the princes failed to appear, the five sisters continued to wait, eventually turning into mountains to extend their vigil into eternity".
