Fionn Bheinn (933m) (Munro) - 24/09/2019
DIstance: 12km; Ascent: 807m; Time: 3h30m
I left the Cairngorms in low cloud and rain. It did not look like a good walking day - but as I travelled west conditions improved and by the time I got into the Torridon/Fannich area a Munro walked looked possible.
This walk starts in the car park at Achnasheen station, on the A832 at the eastern end of Loch a Chroisg. It ascend on a boggy path on the east (right) side of Allt Achadh na Sine. Once at the head of the gully an indistinct and often absent path leads over the minor bump of Creagan nan Laogh to the summit ridge where the view opens out dramatically. Turn west and ascend to the summit and the views across the Torridon range become even more impressive. After lunch, the route returns along the ridge and continues east beside a discontinuous stone wall through boggy grassland, eventually arriving back at the A832.
